Q & A

Question

What is the dress code for the Wedding & Reception?

Answer

Please join us in formal attire. Suits and long dresses are requested, and since our wedding takes place in the gardens in May, we encourage women to embrace colorful, spring-inspired tones!

Question

How do I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

If you are joining us for the Ceremony at the Co-Cathedral of St. Joseph, there will be transportation provided to the Reception. If you are not attending the Ceremony, The Palm House at Brooklyn Botanic Gardens is easily accessible through many modes of transportation. Car services are one of the easiest ways to travel around New York City. We recommend using Uber, Lyft, or Curb (NYC yellow taxis). If you are interested in driving, there is a parking lot on site that is run by a third party. Link to parking details: https://www.ggmcparking.com/locations/the-brooklyn-museum-and-botanic-garden You can also reach the gardens via subway by taking the 4 or 5 train to Franklin Avenue, or by taking the 2 or 3 train to Eastern Parkway-Brooklyn Museum.

Question

Where do I enter the wedding venue?

Answer

Please use the entrance at 1000 Washington Ave. upon arrival to the venue. This is different from the main entrance to the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and will lead you directly to our reception location in The Palm House.

Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

Unfortunately we cannot accommodate children. We thank you for your understanding!
