The first time I laid eyes on Carlos, I thought he was the cutest guy I had ever seen. My jaw dropped as he entered the room. I immediately had to know the name of this handsome man, boy, really, he was only 18 years old (I was 16 years old)! A good friend from my church happened to know him from school and gladly introduced us. Our first meeting was magical, filled with butterflies, hearts, and all things mushy. Our first kiss in the romantic setting of his...garage. As I got to know Carlitos, I fell in love with his sweet heart. He was always (and continues to be) very respectful and such a gentleman. He's attentive, loving, and loves the Lord with all his heart! He's everything I have prayed for and I'm so thankful! Fast forward 16 years later to February 16, 2019, when we saw each other again! It was as if time had not passed. He greeted me with a big kiss on the cheek and off we went to explore San Diego, CA. Every moment of that weekend was enchanting and we both wondered the same thing, could it work again? Well, on March 17th, 2019, our question was answered. We had just had another amazing weekend together exploring southern California (as you can tell, we love traveling adventures), and it was time to say goodbye. I expressed to Carlos, how proud I was of him and that I really cared about him so much. You see, throughout these 16 years, I had often prayed specifically for Carlos and he always had a special place in my heart. Carlos' eyes filled with tears, and he gave me a big hug. And just like in the movies, we looked into each others' eyes and both leaned in for a sweet kiss. On that special day, we decided to give it a go, Yazmin & Carlos 2.0 :)!
