They first met in the dorm room of a mutual friend for a few minutes one night. "Randomly" on another night, Isaiah happened to be on the study floor as the same time as Yas when she was studying for a psychology exam by drawing a picture of the human brain. Isaiah told Yasmine that her drawing looked like kidney bean, Yasmine told Isaiah she didn't care what he thought, and the rest was history. We spent days in a row staying up until 4:00am getting to know one another, looking through pictures of each other's families, staying up late to watch Yasmine's sister's volleyball games, and taking eight whole hours for Isaiah to get the courage to hold Yasmine's hand. The very day they started dating, Isaiah took Yasmine to meet almost his entire family, including his grandmother. Yasmine was terrified but knew she liked being around his family within minutes. Nothing says true love like forcing your significant other to meet some of the most important people in your life on the first day you decided to start dating.

Michigan is one of Yasmine's favorite places to visit in the whole world. Isaiah had been coming with yasmine and her family for several years to this place and knew how much it meant to her. Isaiah and Yasmine's sister, Autumn, arranged to take family pictures in the middle of the woods in Michigan outside of the small town they stayed in. What started out as a day that Yasmine really had no interest in partaking in, ended in tears when Isaiah got down on one knee and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. Obviously, she said yes and then the family pictures turned into a time she would never forget.
