We did not meet in the most conventional way. Our story started off with a certain someone not wanting to introduce us *cough* his sister *cough*. Gracie, the sister in question, is my co worker and now my cuties little bonus sister. Every once in a while she would bring up her brother, Hagan, and I thought nothing of it.. at first. To me he was just the brother stationed in Guam. Sure enough I became curious and after his lovely mom sent him a picture of the 3 of us, he also became curious. Gracie shot us down. Fast forward past the rejection, while celebrating Gracie’s birthday, I had been informed that she had never taken a shot before. I told her surely we have to get Hagan on the phone to be here for your very first one. From the moment he answered the call, at 10am Guam time, we drank and talked the entire night.. Within the hour I told Gracie, while being very drunk, that I was going to marry her brother. Not a single lie was told. Even though we were in completely different time zones we still managed to make “us” work. From the long flights back to the states, to draining our phones from being on FaceTime all day, we truly have been inseparable ❤︎
