Um, is there a sun and moon? LOL. Of course, we will have dancing. We have arranged for a DJ that will help you dance your tush off. This ain’t no Footloose.
We hope our wedding will be a fun excuse to wear your favorite cocktail attire!
We love ALL of your children, however, we have decided to make this an adults-only celebration. We hope you understand!
Your presence at our wedding is gift enough. Seriously. But because you asked we are registered with Zola. Please visit our registry page here (https://www.zola.com/wedding/yasminandnoah/registry) for all the details.
The service in Santorini is pretty spotty. If your hotel has wifi then that is great news. However, we highly recommend getting a SIM card to place in your phone before arriving to the Island. Lastly, we suggest you download an offline map so you can get around the island. The app we use is called CityMaps2Go.
You have to choose what you want. You can read a super detailed guide: https://santorinisecrets.com/hotels/where-to-stay-santorini/ Booking.com is the best site to book hotels for Santorini (and it’s the one that even the Greeks use). If you want the unique views of caldera and the volcano that Santorini is famous for, then you should stay at Fira, Firostefani, Imerovigli or Oia…and also pay the price as these are super expensive hotels. These are the Top 20 Most Luxurious Hotels of Santorini. https://santorinisecrets.com/hotels/the-20-best-luxury-hotels-in-santorini/ These are the Top 10 best hotels in Oia. https://santorinisecrets.com/hotels/the-top-10-best-hotels-in-oia/
Rent a car: ~40 euros a day. Longest drive on the island is 40 min. Drive on the left side like USA. www.rentalcars.com Local bus: All buses depart and finish at Fira. There is a bus from Fira to Akrotiri, Perissa, Kamari, Airport, Oia, Imerovigli and Athinios port. Cheapest option for 2 euro per trip. Website to bus schedule: https://ktel-santorini.gr/ktel/index.php/en/ Taxi: The Taxis are of grey/silver color and usually they are a MERCEDES brand. If you want to call a taxi then you have to call +30 22860 22555, You shouldn't pay more than 25 euro for any ride. Scooter: Rent an ATV or scooter Notes: 1. No uber/lyfts are in Santorini 2. The best way to get around is a car because the buses are too crowded, taxis are expensive, and the scooter is dangerous.
Fira: the capital of the island, nightclubs, shops, restaurants, buzz Firostefani: very seclusive and relaxing but still very close to Fira for shops etc Oia: the most famous and probably the most romantic place to stay in Santorini, not that many shops, no nightlife, but really relaxing atmosphere and some amazing restaurants. Expect tons of tourist masses though, which during the sunset time are everywhere (on the roofs, on the streets, on the walls etc). Imerovigli: amazing views to the caldera, seclusive, not touristic and still close to Fira where all the buzz and shopping is. Perissa , Perivolos, Kamari: no views to the volcano but walking distance to the best beaches of Santorini
The currency of Santorini is the Euro (Greece’s currency). You can find hundreds of ATMs all over the island where you can actually use your Visa, Maestro or American Express card. However, we do recommend that you always carry cash on you, to pay for restaurants, bars etc. because cards are not accepted everywhere.
