In 2014, Yashmeeta worked at the Subway in Southern Highlands with her mom and brother, and Jacob worked next door at Bone-Appetit washing dogs. During summer break, Jacob visited Subway everyday and ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich with a cookie. Yashmeeta didn't think much of it other than that he was fun to talk to, and she figured that he simply didn't know how to cook. Little did she know, that Jacob's family and friends knew her as Subway girl. And her family knew him as buffalo chicken boy. During the fall semester, they ran into each other at UNLV and got to know each other more. Yashmeeta had just gotten a puppy and Jacob slid into her DM's and offered to wash Klondike on the house. The next thing they knew, they went on their first date at Blueberry Hill. In 2017, Jacob and Yashmeeta graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and pursued Masters Degrees. When Jacob was in his first year of medical school and had so much free time, he decided to plan a proposal for Yashmeeta. Under the guise of getting Sprinkles Cupcakes, Jacob went into the bathroom and came out in a suit and tie (that his friend Robert stood in the bathroom for an hour waiting for them) and asked her to marry him. She immediately said yes, looked to her left, and saw their friends and family. 10 years and 11 days after their first date, Yashmeeta and Jacob will be celebrating their anniversary by getting married with their friends and family in Las Vegas, Nevada on 11/10/2024.
