Mehendi, otherwise known as henna, is a paste associated with positive spirits and good luck. Indian Wedding tradition calls for a Mehendi ceremony as a way of wishing the bride good health and prosperity as she makes her journey on to marriage. The core significance of applying Mehendi is to utilize its natural medicinal herbal remedies, cooling the body and relieving the Bride of any stress before her big day. We request everyone to join us and celebrate this joyous occasion.

The Haldi ceremony is a ritual holy bath, which is one of the pre-wedding ceremonies in India. Turmeric (haldi), oil and water are applied to both the bride and groom by friends and family on the morning of the wedding. The mixture is considered auspicious and also signifies protection. It is known to have properties that leave the skin fair and glowing. Haldi, just like any other Indian ritual, is celebrated with laughter, giggles, pomp and color!

The word “Sangeet “ means music, but when it is used as a term to describe a celebratory event during an Indian wedding it translates to Music Night or Musical party. This night is a celebration of the union of not only the couple but the bonding of both families. Sangeet is where the party begins. It includes dances performed by relatives and friends of the Bride and Groom and an open dance floor to commemorate the festivities for the following days.
