Puerto Rico's largest and most concurred festival! Fiestas de la Calle San Sebastián, is the unofficial closing to the longest holiday season in the world. During the multi-day celebrations, Old San Juan is completely taken over by live music, impromptu dancing in every street corner, and even circus performances! At daytime, the old city’s plazas and streets are filled with local artists and artisans, showcasing and selling everything from paintings to hand-made jewelry. Once the sun goes down, multiple concerts and parties take place across the walled city, and the joyous revelry continues into the late hours of the night. Dates: Thursday 16th – Sunday 19th January, 2025. The event occurs around San Sebastián's feast day, which is January 20th. Exact start, end and parade dates vary each year.

Later, sidle up to a chinchorro for a beer and crispy bacalaítos (codfish fritters) or alcapurria (green plantain and taro root fritters)

l Yunque National Forest is a tropical rainforest in northeastern Puerto Rico. From El Portal Visitor Center, a walkway winds through the surrounding treetops. Trails run to La Mina waterfall and Mount Britton, then up to the high-altitude dwarf forest. In the south are ancient petroglyphs, made by the area’s indigenous Taíno people.
