Newmarket is the nearest city, and has a scenic historic downtown with many nice restaurants and bars.

DOWNTOWN TORONTO (~ 1 - 1.5 hr )
Would recommend staying here after the wedding since there is a lot more to do
Easier to get around (public transportation is great!)
If you want to stay in downtown and rent a car for a day to get to the wedding that works too!
WASAGA BEACH (1 hr) + TOBERMORY BEACH (3 hr)

If you are tired of the city and want to stay in a cottage by the beach these are also popular spots to go!
