FAQs

There's no such thing as a dumb question.
Question

Is the wedding postponed?

Answer

Yes. We've sent out email updates from this email: davesandlesy@gmail.com. If you haven't seen our emails, please check your spam/junk mail folders, add our email to your contacts, and email us so we have the correct email for you. Mahalo!

Question

Will childcare be provided during the reception?

Answer

Yes! We want both parents and children to enjoy yourselves, so we're hiring professionals to watch your children while you break it down on the dance floor!

Question

Is there Uber and Lyft?

Answer

Yes, absolutely. What do you think this is? An island in the middle of the Pacific?

Question

Should we get a rental car?

Answer

Yes/No. A rental car is more convenient, however most Waikiki hotels charge around $25 a day for self-parking and street parking is hard to come by. That being said, if you're visiting the north shore or anywhere outside of the Honolulu/Waikiki area, taxis, Uber, and Lyft will have long wait times.

Question

How do I get to the wedding?

Answer

Uber or Lyft are options, but we're coordinating free shuttle service from a centrally-located place for our guests to and from Ko‘olau Ballrooms. We strongly suggest you take advantage of this service, as Ko‘olau Ballrooms is off the beaten path. You can drive, but we also want you to have a good time and get home safely. (There are menehune and nightmarchers in that part of the island)

Question

Where should I/we stay?

Answer

Plenty of Air BnBs, vacation rentals, and hotels on island. Waikiki is probably the most convenient area to stay.

Question

What is there to do in Hawai‘i?

Answer

Beach, eat, hike, sleep, repeat. Check out our "things to do" page, lots of stuff to do on O‘ahu. For more info on hiking visit https://hawaiitrails.hawaii.gov/trails/#/ For more info on where to eat, drink, and other activities visit: https://www.frolichawaii.com/ http://www.honolulumagazine.com/

Question

Where is your registry?

Answer

We don't have a registry. Since we'll be in Korea for a few more years, we decided not to do one. Too much to carry on the plane or ship to Korea. The electric plugs in Korea are different from the U.S.A, too. But, if you'd like to give, monetary gifts are welcome.

Question

Where you guys going after you get married?

Answer

Dave is still stationed in Korea, so back to there we go. Come visit!

Question

Where are David and Leslie staying at?

Answer

Air BnB at Marine Surf Waikiki. Hit us up if you want to hang out. We'll be here all week. We arrive Sunday, May 17th, and head to CA on Tuesday, May 26th.

Question

What if I need to change/edit my RSVP?

Answer

You are able to change/edit your RSVP until March 31, 2020. Go back to the RSVP page and input your name to make your changes/edits.
