As two young, aspiring chefs just beginning their careers, neither imagined that their path would also lead them to their forever. It all started at a Maialino holiday party, January 2017, when a coworker introduced Yannett to Tyler. From their very first conversation, it was clear they matched each other’s energy, talking that night as if they had known one another for years. That spark carried back into the kitchen, where someone Yannett once hadn’t noticed became impossible to miss. Their blossoming friendship took them everywhere, from museums and parks to trendy food spots where they happily played undercover critics. They started building memories and a connection that only grew stronger. After two years of friendship, both knew their relationship was evolving into something more. Though hesitant to jeopardize their friendship, Yannett trusted Tyler’s reassurance, and they never once looked back. The past six years have been a whirlwind of adventure, laughter, and love, leading them on many trips, including their most anticipated vacation to Spain. It was a magical trip, Tyler brought Yannett to a beautiful vineyard, where, overlooking the rolling views from a private balcony suite, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. It was the easiest yes of Yannett’s life, because marrying someone who provides, protects, and supports her, while also being her best friend, was always the dream.
