WHEN SHOULD I RSVP BY?

UPDATE: OUR WEDDING BLOCK IS NOW CLOSED. RSVP on the RSVP page as soon as you receive your invite and know if you’re able to attend. You can start making payments towards your room as of today. The latest to reserve a room will be October 3rd 2023.

When will the bride and groom arrive at the resort?

Answer

Yanin and Danny will arrive Friday February 23, 2024 and depart on Friday March 1, 2024. Please contact the couple for any questions at 2024rivas@gmail.com or give them a call.

ROOM BLOCK & RATES

Answer

We have a room block from Sunday February 25, 2024- February 29, 2024 this block is for 4 nights. Check out is Thursday the 29th. If you wanted to stay before Sunday and stay past Wednesday night you definitely can but its based on availability. Please book your room ASAP on our travel page so the travel agency can start working on getting the dates you want booked for you. They will assist in all this and make it happen. The sooner you reserve a room the better chances of availability. If you are checking in Sunday the 25th and checking out Thursday the 29th you will be guaranteed a room since we have rooms blocked for these dates. The room block will close October 3rd 2023. We recommend staying at least 3-4 nights to make the most of your trip and enjoy all that the resort has to offer. (The resort requires a minimum stay of 3 nights for these rates to be valid.) There are many other room categories available at the resort. The sooner you book, the better room options and availability there will be. See the rates for each room category by visiting our travel page. Please note the rates are *per person, per night*. To book a room it will require a $200 deposit per person to reserve your room and you will have until December 8, 2023 to pay it off.

DO I HAVE TO STAY AT THE DREAMS RESORT?

Answer

Resort Policy: All wedding guests must stay at the resort to be able to enjoy ALL the wedding festivities. If you are staying off the resort please contact the resort to work out the wedding day passes. With a wedding pass you are allowed to arrive at the resort one hour before the wedding and leave thirty minutes after the wedding ends at 11pm. The resort can assist you/guide you in how to receive a wedding pass. Please confirm there are wedding passes before booking somewhere else. If you want to join us for any or all events, please visit our travel page which will direct you to our booking website.

WHAT IS INCLUDED?

Just about everything! Food- All meals(breakfast, lunch and dinner), snacks and beverages (and booze too!) There are ten dining experiences, featuring six à la carte restaurants, a buffet, a grill, a fast-casual eatery and a café with an ice cream parlor. Or sip your favorite cocktail or signature drink at one of their 13 bars and lounges, including two that are non-alcoholic and especially designed for the teens and tweens joining us. All adults (18+) will also have access to the Secrets Adults only side right next door to dreams which has an additional 9 restaurants, more bars and lounges! You are free to go there at any time during your stay at dreams. Activities - pools, daily/nightly live performances, a fitness center, paddle boarding, kayaking, cooking lessons, and yoga classes are just a glimpse of what is included in your stay. Please Note: Spa treatments and motorized water sports (jet skis and boating) are not included. But you can take advantage of the water while there and book some activities if you wanted. Kids & Teen Clubs- Activities for kids and teens- Explorer's Club For Kids ages 3-12, offering video games, big screen movies, and crafts, treasure hunts, sandcastle contests and even a camping adventure. Open daily from 9 a.m. – 9:45 p.m. Core Zone Teens Club for ages 13-17, features daily activities, social activities like bonfires and disco mixers and a vast array of sports and games for teenagers. Open daily from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. Wedding Events - You will have access to all wedding events we will host at the resort.

AIRPORT TRANSPORTATION

Answer

You will be picked up from the airport once you arrive and also dropped off at the airport at the end of your trip by the travel agencies transfer company, once you book they will ask for your flight info and add a $18 roundtrip transfer fee for adults and $10 for children. Hola Weddings will contact you to fill a form so they can set up your transfers. If you have specific questions for Hola Weddings, please email Montse directly at hola@holaweddings.com or call her at 888-472-7077 if Montse is not there when you call anyone on her team can give you answers by mentioning the Yanin Valentin and Daniel Rivas Wedding. There is currently construction going on in the Cancun Airport area so please note that it may take longer than usual for you to get to the resort and back to the airport. We do not know how long this construction will take but if its anything like Chicago well.....you guys already know...

HOW TO BOOK

Answer

Visit our TRAVEL PAGE and click on the VIEW option to direct you to our travel website to book your room. Deadline to book your room with the discounted rate, make any changes to your reservation, and pay in full is December 8, 2023. After this date there will release our room block and no changes can be made. At the time of booking there will be a $200 deposit per person. October 13, 2023 a second deposit of $500 per person is due. December 8, 2023 the full balance will be due. All this will be on the travel page and available for you to look at whenever you want. You can always pay the balance in full at anytime or make additional payments by visiting the travel page at anytime. The above is an outline of what the travel company has worked out for our guests. If you are having any issues booking a room for 5 or anything over 4 people please contact hola weddings with all your travel dates/contact info and names so they can email you or call you and help you book a room. Our room block is made up of rooms for 4 people (example: 3 adults & 1 child, or 2 adults & 2 children.) Anyone over the age of 12 is considered an adult for room pricing. But they will work with you to accommodate over 4 guests. All you need to do is email them or call them, they are great and will help out! FLIGHTS

Answer

Our wedding is on Tuesday February 27, 2024. Please be sure to book your flight to arrive at least a day before and also please check the events tab for a list of events to plan your trip accordingly. The airport to fly into is the Cancún International Airport (CUN). Dreams Playa Mujeres is approximately 30 minutes north from the Cancun airport. Please be sure to share your flight details with Hola Weddings once you have booked your flights so they can work on your transportation. Flights to Cancun are now available for our wedding date! *If you book an early flight and arrive before the check-in time, you can use all the resort amenities (laying out on the beach, pool, restaurants, activities, etc.). We suggest having your swimwear or other vacation necessities easily accessible when you arrive to take advantage of the resort amenities. The reception area will hold your luggage while you wait for your room to be ready.*

PASSPORTS

Answer

Your passport must be valid 6 months after return date. Every guest must have a valid passport. You will need this to board your flight and to return back into the US. The resort will also ask for your passport when you check in for your stay. If you do not have a passport, please visit https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports.html/ for more information on applying for or renewing your US Passport. PASSPORT QUESTIONS? If you have not set up an appointment for your passport, DO IT ASAP or you risk the possibility of not receiving your passport on time. There is currently still a delay on all passport applications due to COVID. Local government officials have been able to expedite passport renewals or requests. Please feel free to contact Yanin or Danny for help with this.

CAN I BRING A GUEST?

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO THE WEDDING?

Beach Semi Formal or Beach Formal wedding attire in our wedding color palette, a warm neutral color. We will be having a short beach ceremony. There will be a shoe cubby at the ceremony to leave your shoes if you wish to go barefoot onto the sand. Tip for the ladies Please DO NOT wear white. Tips for the gentlemen Avoid caps. Tips for all Wear sunscreen during the day and bug spray at night.

WHAT SHOULD I PACK?

Your outfit for the wedding (Please see above) Your outfit for the welcome party (all white attire) Outfits for dinner (they have a dress code policy for dining in some of the restaurants) Swimwear Sandals Sunscreen Aloe Vera Bug Spray Sunglasses Sunhat Floats are allowed Pepto (in case of any tummy issues) Please pack accordingly, the resort does have a shop but it is extremely expensive to get anything there. But in case you forget something the shop will be there. Although the resort is all-inclusive, we recommend to bring $1 & $5 USD bills to tip the staff. Recommended but NOT required. *Please note that some restaurants and bars at the resort require "casual elegance" attire, which means no flip flops or shorts. Men, they will not let you into those restaurants for dinner if you are wearing certain attire/shoes.
