It's happening!

We met in college because I (Amanda) had a crush on one of his friends and hung out in similar circles. 2 years later, I caught his eye with a cute photo on Facebook, inspired him with my testimony, and made him laugh with my almost-struck-by-lightning video, so he wanted to pursue me. Little did I know that this guy I hardly noticed was about to become my best friend and the love of my life and so the boy who never stepped foot on an airplane fell in love with a Flight Attendant.

Just shy of 2.5 years of dating Cody proposed to me while we were on a family vacation down in SoCal. About to leave for 2 weeks of training in Seattle for his new management position, Cody couldn't bear the thought of leaving as an unengaged man. After a beautiful sunset walk down by the shores of Crystal Cove, Cody got down on one knee and proposed to me. Of course I said YES! The woman in Song of Solomon says, “Love is invincible facing danger and death. Passion laughs at the terrors of hell. The fire of love stops at nothing--it sweeps everything before it. Flood waters can’t drown love, torrents of rain can’t put it out.” This couldn’t be truer for us. Cody and I have endured 6 weeks of intensive flight attendant training, 8 months of long distance, two hospitalizations, several moves, a house fire, a car crash, and everything else life decided to sling at us. Through it all we were committed to fighting for unity, showering each other with grace, and always turning our love on for one another. We're beyond stoked to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Scio!
