A reason to celebrate

Their story began on Hinge, where they instantly bonded over their shared love for music, especially Debussy’s Arabesque. It was this common passion that led Rebecca to say “yes” to a date at B-More Licks, an ice cream shop in Baltimore. David was a bit shy at first, but there was an immediate ease between them, and soon they were deep in conversation, especially about their families. The evening was incredibly hot, and while David was quiet and attentive trying to finish his ice cream, Rebecca had a lot to say (surprise, surprise!). As the conversation flowed, the ice cream melted faster than Rebecca could keep up, and soon it was all over her hand. David didn’t seem to mind, though. In that moment, amidst the laughter, melting ice cream, and unspoken connection, they both knew something special was beginning. And ever since, their story has been filled with love, laughter, and many more sweet (and sometimes messy) moments.

It all began with a plan, a beautiful winery, and a little help from Rebecca’s sisters, Amanda and Cindy. David had been planning the perfect moment and enlisted the sisters to help organize a scenic winery event, the ideal spot for the proposal. They even coordinated with a friend, who happens to be a talented photographer, to secretly capture the special moment—without Rebecca suspecting a thing. As we strolled through the vineyard, taking in the views, David got down on one knee, and before Rebecca knew what was happening, he was asking her the question of a lifetime. Of course, she said “Yes!”—and it wasn’t long before she spotted the hidden photographer capturing it all. But the surprises didn’t end there. That afternoon, David had planned a surprise party back at the house with close friends and family, where we celebrated this new chapter in our lives together. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and memories we’ll cherish forever.
