I was hanging out at my pad one day when I received a text from one of my best friends in the whole wide world, Ney (Luis). This was not just any text; it would be the text that changed my life forever. The text read, “we met the perfect girl for you.” He went on to tell me how they (he and his wife Jackie) met this wonderful young lady at a wedding and had an awesome time hanging out with her. Jackie had reached out to Yajaira to see if she would be interested in meeting a handsome chap. They told us both they would set up a game night on a Saturday night, at their place intentionally for us two to meet. Game night was upon us. I was excited to say the least and prayed the night went well. We met and had a great time. I instantly felt a strong connection with her. We talked, we laughed, we played games, and the next thing you know he snuck over to the kitchen, away from everyone for some alone time. I felt like a high school kid again. It was then that I knew that I met the woman that would be my wife. Needless to say we’ve been making a crack ever since.
