Some fall in love...some realize they have been in love all along. First we were neighbors back in Ivory coast, living and going on without an inkling about the future. We developed a friendship, however the Ivorian war broke and our families got separated into different countries. Though Yah's family relocated to the USA, we maintained our long distance friendship even over thousands of miles apart. This went on for about a year before Komlan's family also relocated to the USA, and continued even though we were in different states. Talk 'bout a love chase :). It's possible every other person saw it coming, but us. You may call it destiny, we call it love that wouldn't be interrupted. While Komlan was in Rhode Island, he was great at visiting me- both in Georgia and Iowa- and in 2018 he finally spoke up about us taking our friendship to a romantic level (phew...it's been a long time coming!) Ever heard of the forgotten ring? The first time Komlan proposed he forgot the ring. Oh no?...oh yes! Anyways, he redeemed himself when Yah went visiting for his birthday. Definitely the best birthday gift, cos she said yes...again. So, this is us. 18 years away from an innocent friendship forged far away in Ivory coast, building a life together here in the US. We probably wouldn't have bet on it....but it happened. It is happening! Today, we are soulmates, just as we're meant to be. And it's been sweet ever since. We are excited to have you launch us unto this next chapter of our lives, cos ours is meant to be.
