Betsy’s introduction to Nola was staying at a little b&b a few doors down, when Bacchanal was just a store front. We know y’all are gonna go to Bacchanal, but cross the street when the wait and the crowds are too long. You might just have more fun. Matter fact there are a ton of bars in walking distance. Vaughn’s, bj’s, j&j’s, bud rips, parleaux beer lab. Take a walk!

Strip of bars, restaurants, art market, dancing, brass bands and food eaten out of styrofoam containers at 10pm. Have fun and bring cash to tip those brass band boys!
City Park
Huge park near the wedding. Swan rides, sculpture gardens, Japanese gardens, art museum and plenty of paths to walk or ride your blue bike through. Always fantastic and with a second Cafe Dumonde to curb your beignet cravings!
Audubon Park
If you are staying on the other side of town ya gotta enjoy the big ol’ trees and splendid nature of Audubon

We always stop here to buy cute things to treat ourselves. If you’re strolling Magazine St. check it out. New art, books, vintage clothing and more

Take a stroll along the water after you brave the stairs. If you have brunch at Elizabeth’s or pizza delicious it’s a great way to walk it off!

Our favorite fancy dress restaurant, safe for veggie and vegans and simply delicious. Sit at the chefs table and enjoy the show! It’ s Asian it’s India it’s Mexican it’s delicious whatever it is! Reservations recommended and they also have a brunch service

We always stop in for some scents when we’re in the Quarter. Perfume yes, but soap, powders and more. Great for gifts to bring home
Flour Moon Bagels
Wish we could eat here twice a day, great for vegans too. Great coffee shop around the corner too!
PIZZA domenica
Garlic knot platter with fonduta. Just do it. Yes you can eat pizza at home, but why not eat it in Nola?
