Gilberto (Giba) has been in Yago and Coral's since the very beginning of their relationship "literally." On Coral and Yago's first date they were at Giba's apartment using his computer to translate and teach each other English and Portuguese. Giba arrived home and helped Coral and Yago communicate to each other a little. Even though Giba went on a couple long vacations to Brazil, he was always there to help when Coral and Yago needed it. He helped them take their relationship to the next level by letting them to move into his place while he was in Brazil. Giba has always been a friend, mentor, and an unofficial landlord. Coral and Yago are extremely grateful for Giba's friendship and are thankful that he will be translating the ceremony in English and in Portuguese.
Siena Fedak
Maid of Honor
Coral and Siena met on the first day of kindergarten while attending Smith Elementary School. Siena is Coral's longest friendship and the closest thing she has ever had to a real sister. On endless occasions, they have been mistaken as twins or even as one another. Over their 20 years of friendship, the two have done endless activities together such as taking ballet classes, adopting baby turtles, working at Ruby's Diner, traveling to Disneyland and Disney World, dancing at concerts, joining a kickball league, celebrating Betty White's birthday, painting for technical theater in the Academy for the Performing Arts, and playing competitive rounds of their favorite board game Catan. Siena is extremely competitive so hopefully, she will be a future Catan winner soon! One of Coral's favorite memories is when they were little and she locked Siena on the roof and Siena started to cry. Thankfully, both can look back and laugh about the story now. Sometimes they can treat each other a little too much like sisters, but it has never broken them up. Siena is always Coral’s words of wisdom. No matter the distance, they have always been there for each other and are grateful to know they are stuck together forever.

Se conhecemos durante os campeonatos de surf pelo Brasil, como éramos de cidades vizinhas começamos a viajar juntos para todos os campeonatos possíveis e apartir dessas viagens viramos praticamente irmãos. E se não fosse por ele nos não estaríamos aqui nos Estados Unidos, tudo começou quando estávamos em um campeonato e ele olhou o calendário da Wsl e falou “vamos pra Flórida e Califórnia a onda é a nossa cara” e eu só perguntei “mais como ? Com dinheiro da onde ?” Enfim Alex sempre da um jeito para tudo, conseguiu carro ,casa e quase a passagem para nós. Conseguimos chegar aqui e nossa amizade só cresceu viramos familia mesmo, já passamos milhares de perrengues juntos, sempre estávamos ali nos melhores e nos piores momentos mas nunca desistimos praticamente nosso primeiro ano estávamos sempre grudado um ajudando o outro literalmente em tudo, dividimos cama, carro, pranchas, comida só não dividia namorada antes que alguém se pergunte hahaha literalmente é meu irmão e acredito que temos muito ainda para crescer nesse mundo. Sem falar de todos os momentos engraçados que já passamos chegamos aqui com literalmente zero inglês já trabalhamos em obras para americanos sem falar um oi em inglês mas nós estávamos ali tentando, só falava thank you e yeah e fingia que entendia e quase sempre funcionou quando dava errado nós usava o sorry.

Coral met Maria in 7th grade at Dwyer Middle School. They both had the same English and History class and found their passion for theater. There was one time that a group of Coral and Maria's friends went to Disneyland together and when Coral's mom was driving Maria home, Maria realized she did know where she lived. Thankfully, Mairead was in the car to help give directions because they didn't live far from each other. From middle school to high school they continued with theater and joined the Academy for the Performing Arts for Technical Theater. They eventually both got hired by Joe Batte (theater teacher) to become student employees for the theater. One of Coral's favorite memories with Maria was getting paid to wash Joe's two cars every summer and cleaning the theater's basement. They also went on a Mediterranean Cruise together senior year of high school and pulled an all-nighter to see the sunrise. Their friendship has continued for all these years, even after Maria left Coral to go to Ecuador and college. They might not talk every day but we know that we always have each other's backs. Maria is one of the most smiley person Coral has ever known and has a positive energy.

O primeiro parceiro de trabalho, no meu primeiro emprego fixo aqui no USA que era de pintura. Viramos amigos assim que nos conhecemos, um ajudava o outro e até hoje nada mudou, esse é o cara que não para se chamar ele pra qualquer lugar ele vai, já moramos juntos e foi só problema mas nunca brigamos o problema era as festas mesmo, o cara não parava quieto e ainda puxava nós. Juntou eu alex e Erick trabalhando no mesmo lugar e morando juntos. Fomos vivendo uma das melhores fases das nossas vidas todo dia era engraçado, o único que não ficava tão feliz era nosso patrão porque nos chegava pra trabalhar tudo cansado mas nunca deixamos na mão era só guerreiro bom como ele falava. Quando conheci a Coral eu não falava nada de inglês, literalmente nada e o Erick foi um dos caras que mais ajudou eu e ela a se comunicar traduzindo para nós. Esse é mais um irmão que a Califórnia me deu e sei que posso contar com ele para oque precisar até o fim.
Mairead Stauton

Coral has known Mairead since 7th grade at Dwyer Middle School. They started hanging out when they were both cast in the show Aladdin; Mairead was Jasmine and Coral was Abu (the monkey). They started becoming close friends in 8th grade because they were both cast in Once Upon a Mattress and had the same English and History classes. One of Coral's favorite memories with Mairead was being together on the stage for 8th Grade Promotion; Mairead sang the national anthem and Coral gave the graduation speech. Another great memory is when Coral and Mairead decided to jump into a closed pool on a rooftop bar in Los Angeles on Mairead’s 21st birthday. Mairead got stopped by security, but Coral made her splash! We, understandably, got kicked out of the bar after that. Over the years they have done so much together. They love going to musicals, plays, Disneyland, Universal Studios, and exercise classes together. They studied abroad in Italy together for a month, where they went on a gondola ride, ate a lot of pasta, drank wine, learned Italian, and embraced cultures from all over the world. They have kept a yearly tradition of having sleepovers to write out New Year's Resolutions… this started in middle school when they would write down their crushes. Fun Fact too, Mairead has a BEAUTIFUL SINGING VOICE!

Se conhecemos pegando uma ordem em um restaurante, combinamos de ir surfar e começamos a ficar mais próximos quando ele veio morar em Huntington Beach, mais um amigo que o surf me deu na verdade todos os outros também mas esse é instigado, eu sei que se tiver altas ondas em algum lugar da Califórnia e se eu convidar ele para fazer a trip ele topa mas o único problema é que não acorda cedo de jeito nenhum daí as vezes fica difícil.
Makena Booher

Coral met Makena on the first day of freshman year of high school. They were both lost and found out that they were on the way to the same biology class. They sat next to each other and realized that they were both in the Academy for the Performing Arts for Technical Theater. The first show they worked on was the play Auntie Mame and they were both run crew (meaning they move the sets on and off the stage). One night during a performance they moved a mountain onto the stage together and Coral ran the mountain over Makena's foot and almost broke it. Makena wasn't wearing the correct shoes which didn't help. Thankfully, this did not ruin their friendship. From there they enjoyed high school, went to the Brea Mall, and enjoyed Makena's pool. Makena also taught Coral how to drive on the freeway to the Brea Mall, because Coral's mom was too nervous to teach her. They then went to the same college, California State University Long Beach, and went to freshman orientation together, where they were able to enroll in a class together too. During college, they started studying together, went on a camping trip, and went on a San Francisco Trip. Makena also LOVES puzzles and is a hard worker!

Meu amigo de tantos anos atrás que nem lembro como se conhecemos, surfávamos juntos quase todos os dias na nossa cidade no Brasil, já trabalhamos juntos lá e era só risada. Ele sempre vinha competir na Califórnia e voltava pro Brasil, assim que saiu a data do evento para ele vim competir novamente eu já estava quase um ano aqui e comecei a botar pilha para ele vim mais cedo no fim das contas deu certo e ele chegou uns 5 meses antes do campeonato dele começar e nunca mais voltou para o Brasil, acho que eu possa ter tido um pouco de culpa de ele não ter voltado mas é por uma boa causa porque ele é um guerreiro e acredito no potencial dele e logo será nosso campeão mundial de surf adaptado. Não posso deixar de falar que no primeiro dia dele aqui nos Estados Unidos foi um dos dias mais engraçados da nossa vida, levamos ele para sair e celebrar a chegada dele aqui, junto com Márcio e nosso outro amigão Léo que também não tem nem oque falar e naquela época Bracinho não bebia enfim acabou bebendo passou até do ponto, levamos pra minha casa depois e eu tinha acabado de me mudar pra casa de um americano e não estava nem uma semana na casa, iria deixar bracinho dormindo comigo no meu quarto mas naquela noite levei ele pra casa e fui dormir na casa da coral, foi o maior erro da minha vida, Bracinho vomitou a casa toda e dormiu pelado na sala por sorte eu tinha apresentado ele pro americano na noite anterior. Essa foi histórica.

Coral met Holly at a fraternity party when Coral was starting her junior year and Holly was starting her first year of her master's. Coral found out that Holly was a math major, that she wanted to join a sorority, and she is BRITISH! Holly was the one that told Coral to go through sorority recruitment. They honestly didn't talk much outside of the fraternity parties and went through recruitment not talking to each other. Then once recruitment was over they found that they both ended up in Gamma Phi Beta together. They then started hanging out a little bit, but their friendship grew when Holly took Coral to her first festival. From there they started doing everything together like studying, going to Second Street for late nights and brunch, Greek Life Events, trips to Las Vegas and one trip to Mexico, to the gym for the rock climbing challenge, etc. Holly was the reason that Coral moved into the sorority house too. On one of the Las Vegas trips Holly also decided to make an Instagram account called Holly Films Coral. Holly would post the unusual things Coral did and add her hilarious captions to them. Coral is so happy that Holly came to America to study abroad because if she didn't they would have never met. One of Coral's favorite memories with Holly was when they were coming home from a fraternity paint-throwing party covered in paint and Holly perfectly slipped on the GPHI logo while running into the house in the rain. Coral then iced Holly's thigh the whole night.

É a pessoa que tem um coração gigante, sempre ajudando as pessoas que ele gosta e comigo não foi diferente desde o início na Califórnia ele representou, Foi o cara que nos apresentou pro mundo aqui, tudo começou no nosso aniversário quando ele liberou para fazermos uma festa na casa dele que por sinal foi uma das melhores, não sei como mas lotamos a casa sem conhecer ninguém na Califórnia. A partir dai nunca mais parou, Márcio ficou famoso por fazer as festas de Huntington Beach até hoje em dia. E pra mim nossa amizade só cresceu já se foram alguns churrascos, muitas percas na sinuca, derrotas amargas no UNO que é um de seus jogos preferidos e milhares de aprendizados até porque ele já é um pouquinho mais Velho hahaha.

Coral met Tey through Gamma Phi Beta, where Tey then became her little! It all started when Tey was Coral's Crescent Sister for the first week she joined the sorority. Crescent sisters are a way to ensure that each new member is meeting active members in the sorority. They went to Gyu Kaku for lunch and talked the whole time. Coral didn't know if Tey would want her as her big but thought she was really amazing. It turns out she did and Coral received twin littles. Coral and Tey always know how to laugh and have fun together. They haven't done much together, but it is always a great time when they are together. Tey has also been so resourceful, and helpful, and has the best stories. Tey and Coral often stay in touch through texting. They are also learning the Brazilian cultures together from their husbands. One of Coral's favorite nights with Tey was when they went to a Sigma Pi Fraternity Party and Coral had to take Tey home. Tey had just moved into a new apartment and didn't remember where she lived. Tey then thought she knew which one it was and Coral spent a good 15 to 20 minutes trying to get into the apartment, but the key didn't work. It turns out it wasn't her apartment and that it was two doors down.

Se conhecemos no Hawaii um dos cara mais engraçado que tem, quando eu penso que tô com problema ligo pra ele pra me sentir melhor porque ele sempre tem mais 😂😂😂. Se falamos praticamente todos os dias esse é o cara que nunca deixa a festa acabar vai contar tantas histórias que você até vai se perguntar se é verdade ou mentira e também é o mais enrolado que eu conheço mas no mesmo tempo é o mais otimista, tudo está bom e como ele diz “eu sou pica” tirando a zueira diária, é um cara de coração enorme e se precisar botar a cara pra te ajudar com alguma coisa ele vai está ali.

Charlie is Coral's little brother (24 years old). He has had a huge impact on Coral's life and she is forever grateful to have a brother like him. When Coral and Charlie were little Charlie was suppose to be a ring bearer for our Aunt Bridgette and Uncle Greg's wedding but Charlie was too shy and didn't do it. Now Charlie is getting a second chance at life to be an amazing ring bearer! Fun Fact: Charlie paid for Coral and Yago's marriage at the courthouse and gifted it to them as a wedding gift!
