Parque Arví
Parque Arví is a nature reserve located in the forested hills just above the city. Here you can engage in many outdoor activities like hiking and riding horses. The most popular way to get to the park is via cable car from the Acevedo Metro station.
El Castillo Museum and Gardens
If you are missing Europe, consider stopping by this museum, inspired by castles in Loire Valley in France. You can explore the collections of antique furniture and artwork inside as well as stroll through or even have a picnic in the beautifully manicured gardens surrounding the castle!
Guatapé
Guatapé is a colorful town surrounded by a man-made reservoir, located about 2 hours from Medellín. It is famous for El Peñol--basically a GIANT rock--that has a staircase with 708 stairs you can climb up to see an incredible view of the reservoir. You can easily visit Guatapé in a day with a tour company.
