What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The welcome event will begin at 4pm. We will begin the ceremony at 4:30pm prompt.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your formal invitation says “& Guest,” then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! We kindly request no children.

What is the dress code?

Formal attire suggested.

How do I get to the wedding venue? Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Bonnet Island Estate is located at 2380 E Bay Avenue in Manahawkin, NJ 08050. If you are traveling from out of the state or country, you will need your own form of transportation to get to your hotel. Once you are ready to head to the venue, shuttle transportation will be provided to the venue location, and back to your hotel at the conclusion of the night.

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes! There are approximately 85 parking spots. So carpooling may be a great option.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather should be beautiful! Although we cannot perfectly predict November weather, carrying layers are always a good idea for this time of year!

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

At Bonnet Island Estate we are graced with the pleasure of having both an indoor/outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour; weather permitting. We have indoor spaces for both events, as well as open outdoor spaces and covered outdoor spaces; however, reception will be held indoors. This is subject to be changed and coordinated day of, and will accommodate any weather variables.

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a three-course plated dinner and dessert

Answer

Please include on your RSVP any dietary restrictions/allergies.

Where will the ceremony be held?

Answer

The ceremony will take place in the boat house chapel at Bonnet Island Estate.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Welcome to our unplugged ceremony! You can take all the photos you want throughout the night! However, we kindly ask if you please honor our wishes, and do not take photos until we are pronounced Mr. & Mrs. We invite you to be fully present with us during our ceremony! We want to see your faces, rather than devices.

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes! Should you be feeling particularly generous, there are some things we would love to have for our new house we are building. There is a linked page on the Home Screen of our website with our Crate&Barrel & Zola registry.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation was addressed to you & “guest”; absolutely! If a guest is not included on your invitation, please respect our wishes.

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.

When will the reception end? Will there be an after-party?

Answer

The reception will conclude at 10:30pm. We will be hosting an after part from 10:30pm - 12:30am. Join us if you'd like, we would love to have you for a couple more hours of fun!

What health and safety measures will you be taking during the event?

Answer

Our highest priority is keeping all loved ones safe. Please take careful consideration that you are feeling your absolute best, and are not exhibiting any cold symptoms on the day of the wedding. We understand some may not feel comfortable attending, and we will understand if on the day of, you are not able to. At this time, we feel that you should take any necessary independent safety measures you feel are appropriate. Masks are welcome, although we will not be requiring face-coverings at our event.
