We met at our very first college class. Daniel came a day late to the class and someone jokingly called him out for being late. Lexi looked at Daniel and said "just ignore him, he's dumb anyways", and thus a friendship was born. We became close friends after that, always hanging out and venting about classes or life in general. Daniel and Lexi had the opportunity to grow a strong foundation of friendship and trust for each other, thus it took awhile for them to even start dating, about 2 years after initially meeting.

The Proposal

Game nights, best nights.

We always have game nights with our friends and it's something we both enjoy doing together. Daniel got together some close friends of ours for "just another game night", but really it was more than that. All of our friends gathered together to play charades, but then it was our turn to "act it out". Lexi got a silly word, lettuce, but on the other hand Daniel just so happened to get the word propose because well...he had planned to propose. Daniel started to "act it out", but it took Lexi a few moments to realize this wasn't just charades anymore and Daniel was really on one knee with a ring. Lexi instinctively thought it was a joke, so in denial she said "no, really?". After realizing this was really happening, Lexi came to her senses overwhelmed with emotions and gave a solid "yes, buggy!". The rest of our family then rushed in and celebrated with us.
