We're getting married!

We initially met at band camp, however, the sparks flew at Disney for a band event (Where the magic happens). We joked and rode rides all day, then at the end of the night Xaymi asked Jesse for his number. Soon after the nonstop texting back and forth, we started dating on December 19, 2012! We ended up having our first kiss at Disney as well! Guess Disney lit fireworks in our hearts!

Before I came home on leave I came up with a plan to propose before I left. Once I was home, I carried the ring everywhere we went waiting for the right moment and she didn't even know I had it on me or what I was planning. Xaymi planned a date night for the two of us at The Cheesecake Factory. I had the brilliant idea of going to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks like we did in the first few months of us dating after we finished our dinner. After we finished eating, we rushed to make it to the fireworks in time. We watched the fireworks and when it neared the finale I asked her to recreate the photo we took in 2013 where I have my arms around her from behind. While she was looking up at the fireworks for the photo, I bent down on one knee, tapped her to turn around, and asked her if she'd like to spend the rest of our lives together. She immediately said yes and was speechless for the rest of the night (First and only time I have witnessed her not being able to speak)! Shout out to my dad for capturing the special moment! We're so excited to celebrate this new chapter of our lives with you!
