Nova
Nova is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. We walk to this eclectic gastro pub often with Jax for dinner, and it is only a 10 minute drive from downtown! This hidden gem is casual and classy with a hipster twist. Try the Angus brisket burger and a Nova 75.
Tiny Victories
Another go-to about 10 minutes from downtown (walkable from Nova)! Tiny Victories is a cozy neighborhood lounge with an outdoor patio to enjoy classic cocktails, beer, and wine. It’s both adorable and intimate and the cocktails are amazing. We recommend the 1920’s Pisco Sour or the Corpse Reviver #2.
The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden
If you have extra time on your hands, consider a visit to the Dallas Arboretum. Stop and smell the roses at the gorgeous, bloom-filled garden with more than 200 hybrid tea roses, walk through the vivid Crape Myrtle Allee, or enjoy a picnic on the colorful grounds. Your ticket will give you access to the main gardens as well as the Christmas Village and 12 Days of Christmas gazebos. Pro tip: purchase your parking online for a discounted rate.
