Xavier and I met at the University of Iowa. We worked at Catlett Market place. One night we worked together and we just clicked. We talked all night and then the next couple shifts as well. I would study before my shifts and Xavier caught onto this and started to come "study" with me most days, until it was everyday. We then started to eat dinner together every time we worked together. Riley - I knew he was special when one night I was eating with my friends on my break at work and my friend looked at me and said "there is a really cute guy staring right at you". I was taken a back by this at first, but when I went to go sneak a peak to see who it was, it was Xavier! My friend and I continued to eat dinner, but later that night I went home and told my roommates about him. I just had this feeling of knowing him forever and my gut told me that he was about to become my person and I was right! Fast forward over 4 years later and here we are today and I could not be happier! Xavier - I knew Riley was special about 3 weeks into us dating. I was on crutches and a total pain in the ass. I was upset at not being able to play tennis and having to be dependent on other people for help and in constant pain. No matter what, Riley never complained, that much, and would always let me try on my own and would hop in at the perfect time to help. She would always get me food when we were together and I didn't want to get up and make anything. She would bring back this massive plate of nachos because I didn't have to say anything, she just knew that was what I wanted. She put up with me for 3 weeks when I was not that fun to be around and in that moment, I knew that there was something special about her.
