FAQs

The Wedding Website of Karina Fedorov and Xavier Barinaga
Question

Dress Code

Answer

Our reception will be held outdoors at a beautiful greenhouse in the Spokane countryside. The dress code can best be described as “Formal Spring Garden Party.” We provided an example photo at the top of the page, but we suggest looking up “Formal Garden Party" on Google as it’ll give good examples for reference! For the ladies: think flowy midi or maxi dresses in soft, pastel spring hues—light, airy, and elegant. For the gentlemen: dress pants with a crisp button-down shirt and your favorite dress shoes. Suits and more formal attire are certainly welcome, but we kindly ask that you avoid black suit jackets, as the groom will be in a classic black tux.

Question

Plus Ones

Answer

We kindly ask that only those listed on your invitation attend. Due to venue restrictions, we are unable to accommodate additional guests unless specifically named. If you’re unsure whether your invitation includes a guest, please reach out to us directly, we’re happy to clarify!

Question

Children Plus Ones

Answer

We love your little ones! However, due to venue capacity restrictions and our challenges accommodating plus ones, we're unable to extend invitations to children, with the exception of a few from our immediate and close families. We truly appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Question

What if I can't attend?

Answer

Due to the nature of a lot of family and friends not being from the area of the wedding, we completely understand if you can’t join us and we are going to miss you. Just be sure to RSVP “no” as soon as possible so we can notify our vendors!

Question

Food

Answer

We’re so excited about the food! During cocktail hour, we’ll have light bites to pair with our mocktails. For dinner, as a homage to our favorite spot, and to better cater to dietary restrictions, Chipotle will be catering (think burrito bowls and all the fixings!). To finish, we’ll be serving homemade tiramisu and cannolis. If you have any essential dietary restrictions (such as allergies), please let us know when you RSVP so we can do our best to accommodate you.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

For multiple reasons, we’re choosing to have a dry celebration. Instead of alcohol, we’ll be serving fun bottomless mocktails and refreshments for all to enjoy!

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00 PM at the cathedral. We kindly ask that guests arrive 15–20 minutes early to allow time for parking, navigating the venue, and finding your seat. Thank you for helping us start the day smoothly! We won’t be having a formal seating chart for the ceremony, but a few rows will be reserved for the wedding party and immediate families. All other seating is open, feel free to sit wherever you feel comfortable!

Question

Transportation

Answer

We’re so excited to welcome guests from near and far! For those flying in, rental cars are readily available at the airport and recommended for getting around since we’re unable to provide shuttle transportation due to the party size and venue locations. We made sure to provide a generous break between the ceremony and reception to give guests time to rest, grab a bite if needed, and enjoy the scenic 40-minute drive from the Cathedral in the city to our reception venue in the countryside.

Question

Hotel Accommodations

Answer

We currently have a hotel block set up with the Davenport Grand Hotel in the downtown of Spokane. You can find information and the link on the "Travel & Transportation" section of our website. If you have any problems please let us know, as we are in contact with the hotel and are still making sure everything is working properly!

Question

Parking

Answer

The cathedral has it's own parking lot, but we are expecting that it will fill up. There is a significant amount of street parking on all of the streets surrounding the cathedral. There is also a paid parking lot across the street (1204 W Riverside Ave Parking). As far as parking for the reception, there is a large gravel parking lot that is plenty big for everyone to park at. Follow the parking signs when arriving at the reception.
