Like many folks their age, Xavier and Charisse weren't having the best of luck finding love. Meeting people in person wasn't working out, so they found themselves on a Christian dating app. Having all but given up on love and learning to rest in contentment of singleness, everything changed for them on February 19th, 2023. At the time, Charisse, by way of Georgia, was living in Pittsburgh, PA finishing nursing school, and came across Xavier's profile. This Texan boy with the kindest eyes and the sweetest smile grabbed her attention immediately, so she liked his profile not knowing if anything would come of it. Just a few days later, Xavier was alerted someone liked his profile, but he wasn't able to see who as Charisse was way outside of his set parameters (over 1,000 miles outside of them!). The only thing preventing him from seeing who this girl could be was the $9.99 payment required to see someone outside of the parameters. Little did he know, that girl would end up being his future wife. After flying down to Dallas, TX to meet, Xavier met Charisse at the airport with flowers in hand. He formally asked Charisse to be his girlfriend on April 23rd, 2023 and on February 19th, 2024, the year to the date of their meeting, Xavier asked Charisse to be his wife. Fast forward to the present day, that Texan boy snagged his Georgia peach, and the two still joke that she was the best $9.99 he's ever spent.
