If you want to grab a coffee, killer sandwich, or tasty pastry, Niedlov’s is the place to go! Recently named as one of the top bakeries in the country, Xander and I often meet for lunch here during the work week :)
Calliope was recently named as one of the 50 best restaurants in the US by The NY Times. It is one of our favorite places to take friends and family when they come visit. Known for modern Levantine (Mediterranean) style food, our favorites on the menu are the pita bread, gulf shrimp, and chicken shawarma. Because of its recent rise to stardom, you definitely want to make a reservation before checking it out!
If you want a great spot for a sandwich, we highly recommend checking out Main Street Meats! They have a butcher shop in house, so their meat is freshly cut. Their Reuben is second to none (other than maybe Tom Collop’s - iykyk), and their smoked turkey sandwich is also a great choice.
This is a great breakfast/brunch spot. They have great salmon lox bagels (if that’s your thing) and breakfast bowls. Their menu has a ton of options, so there is something for everyone!
Little Coyote was recently awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand! This is awarded to restaurants that offer a high quality food at a great value. Little coyote serves Tex-Mex style dishes and their brisket and smoked chicken are both fantastic!
This is Marie’s favorite restaurant in Chattanooga. It serves a great seasonal menu (fantastic handmade pasta) and has one of the best oyster selections in the city. It’s has a neat, upscale cafe-style vibe and a great spot for dinner or a late lunch!
This is one of our go-to places in Chattanooga! It has some of the best, most authentic northern Chinese style food. Their beef scallion pancake roll, soup dumplings, and spicy chicken hand-pulled noodle soup are some of our favorites! This is a great lunch spot.
A very cute, eclectic cocktail bar in downtown Chattanooga! They have a great outdoor space with fire pits. They also serve food.
There are two really awesome bars located at the Waymark Hotel. Their rooftop bar, Iris, has an almost 360 degree view of the city of Chattanooga. They also have a cocktail lounge in the basement called The Vault, which is an old bank vault reinvented into a bar.
Another neat bar in downtown Chattanooga. It has a retro theme to it that will make you feel like you’re somewhere out west (think western taxidermy, cold beer and tropical beverages). It’s one of our favorite spots in the city!
