A Most Joyous Union Awaits

Xai and Madeleine’s story kicked off on Bumble, but it didn’t take long for them to realize they already ran in the same circles—small world, right? Their first date at Birchwood Cafe was a hit, so naturally, they lined up a second one to see if the spark was real. On date number two at the Minnesota Zoo, things took a hilarious turn. While checking out the flamingos, Xai couldn’t resist cracking a joke and said, “Look at all these chickens.” Madeleine couldn’t stop laughing, and from that goofy moment on, they were pretty much inseparable since 2019.

Xai and Maddy bought their first home together in March 2023. They held a house warming gathering at their home on December 30, 2024. Xai had been in the works of wanting to propose with all their family and friends present but to not alarm Maddy , he let her plan it. On the day, Maddy was busy on the day making sweet pork and no matter how much her mother tried to persuade her to change into a nicer outfit. She refused and wore sweatpants and a sweater. Xai sneakily had prepared the ring and only let a few people know of his plans. During Xai's speech he got down on one knee and proposed to Maddy. They not only warmed their home with family and friends present but also in joining their love for one another.
