Our love story began in the fall of 2016 after both being accepted into Duquesne University. As most incoming freshman did, we joined a Facebook group chat to meet other students and get answers to our imperative questions. We became fast friends and would have conversations sharing our excitement for starting school. As summer approached, we both found out we would be going to the same summer orientation session in July! (Which years later, it was revealed that Caleb may have orchestrated making sure we were there at the same time. Ha!) The night before orientation, we decided to go to campus to walk around. It was a beautiful night in the city for a walk, not a cloud in the sky, but after wandering around for 10 minutes, the skies opened and started pouring out of nowhere! We ran back to the car laughing hysterically! After the weekend was over, we both had a giant crush on each other and were so excited to start school in August. On move in day, we helped each other get settled into the dorm. We instantly became inseparable and officially started dating two weeks into freshman year.

After living together for almost two years, Caleb and Wynne were ready to take the next step in their relationship. Caleb knew he wanted to propose to Wynne in the winter holiday season of 2022, and with Wynne's love of musicals, Caleb thought seeing Hamilton on December 9th was the perfect occasion. Staying in downtown Cleveland at The Arcade, the hotel was decorated beautifully for the holidays. They went down to the bridge in the middle of the hotel to "take a photo." When getting there, Caleb read Wynne a letter he had written and then got down on one knee and popped the big question. As a surprise to Wynne, both families were there and following the proposal, all went out for a celebratory dinner. After dinner, the family went to Playhouse Square to see Hamilton! The show was amazing, but Wynne kept getting distracted looking at her gorgeous ring.
