ONE NIGHT IN LUCKNOW... The journey started on November 23rd 1956, at 11 Barrow Road when Leslie, a 16-year boy was introduced to little 10-year-old girl named Winifred. Over the years they meet now and again living in different cities. Fast forward to January 24th, 1969 when Winnie was dressed in a tight fitting emerald green raw silk dress - for the first time Leslie notices Winnie in a different light!! That's when the ball starts rolling - dating, movies, scooter rides and dinner at Kay's Kozy Korner, where deep conversations about beliefs, preferences and life goals took place. After Leslie helped Winifred finish her dinner both knew where life would take them – a life together. AN ADVENTURE WAS ABOUT TO BEGIN.... Over candle light dessert Leslie proposes to Winnie. Being the religious Catholic girl Winnie has to consult her "MAKER" and ask Leslie to wait for 30 full days for her answer. On February 7th 1970 the knot was tied, this union must have been made with "God's Blessings " Prayers were heard and life has been extra-ordinary which started with their first daughter Donna and shortly after, their second daughter Debra making their family complete. A new beginning was calling and on June 7th, 1975 the Kerr’s moved their family to wintery-cold Canada. The family arrived in Toronto, Canada with 2 suitcases; 2 little girls and $9 Canadian dollars, a Tin box full of odds and ends to follow by ship. "Time and Tide waits for no man " and here they are after 50 + 14 wonderful glorious years. AMEN!!!!
