We first met at Santa Clara University, when we were placed in the same freshman dorm. Clare "claims" on the first night of college Nick blew her off at a party... but that has never been confirmed. After playing the friend game for a year and a half, we finally got out of the "friend zone" and went on our first date to San Francisco on Valentines Day '09 and shared a slice of Golden Boy Pizza in Washington Square Park. We never looked back and the rest is history.

Last winter, we ventured to Switzerland to visit our dear friend Jimmy Bennett and ski in the Swiss Alps. Of course, Clare's parents couldn't miss an opportunity to hit the slopes and joined us. Nick saw this a perfect opportunity to pop the question. Throughout the trip, Nick was having trouble getting Jim alone to ask for permission but finally convinced the group to take a long T-bar. Midway through our last day of skiing, Nick flagged Clare down, mid-run by faking a boot issue. Under the Matterhorn, Nick got down on one ski pulled the ring off a carabiner and asked Clare to make it official. Shocked and relieved that Nick wasn't actually hurt, Clare responded with "I guess so...."

The Mathers and Wylies can't wait to share Lake Tahoe with all of you. It's one our favorite places and we hope you can join us for the celebration.
