How it began: We met online, which is not how either one of us imagined meeting the love of our life, but it is how the Lord brought us together. Our very first conversation was full of discussions about faith, what we believe, and telling one another about how the Lord saved us. We talked on the phone for a few weeks to be sure that we were on the same page on many things before deciding that we wanted to meet in person. On April 5th, Dean drove down to South Carolina and we had our first date which lasted twelve hours! Any nerves that had been building in anticipation of meeting for the first time melted away as soon as we were together! Dean showed up with flowers in hand, and we were off! That date began with coffee at Day Drinkers, one of Sarah’s favorite coffee shops, and ended with dinner at Texas Road House and watching the sunset together. We both left from that date knowing that there was something special about the other person and thanking God for what seemed to be the beginnings of an answer to prayer found in one another! After another week of talking, continuing to get to know one another, and having deep conversations, Sarah went up to Tennessee on April 12th for the weekend for our second in-person date. We met in the parking lot of Dean’s church and with flowers and chocolates in hand, he immediately popped the question! Just like that, we were officially boyfriend and girlfriend! Our date started with coffee and ended with dinner and watching the sunset! We are the only ones that know about this, but about 10 minutes into our relationship being official, Dean got pulled over and ticketed while trying to show off his loud truck to his new girlfriend. We can laugh about it now, but in the moment, Dean was mortified and made me promise not to tell a soul until now. Sarah’s Perspective: Since that day, Dean has proven to me every day that my standards were not too high! I just needed to find the one who would work to love me the way that Christ would and lead me as a man of God should. Yes, our story is short and happened fast, but the Lord has had His hand in every step of our story. It is so clear to me that Dean is the one that God has for me! Falling in love with Dean is one of the easiest things that I have ever done and saying yes to that man when I turned around to see him on one knee on August 30, 2025, was the easiest yes that I have ever said! I can never express how much I truly love that man and how grateful that I am for how he works to show me his love for me in the big and little things, from praying over me and pointing me to Christ to making me a priority in every moment to opening my doors to pumping my gas, to keeping my vases full of beautiful flowers… spoiled rotten is exactly what I am and I will never know what I did to deserve the blessing of being loved by Dean Boone. Dean’s Perspective: Since that day, Sarah has been the biggest blessing in my life! She has helped me grow in my faith in ways I didn’t know I could and has made me want to be better in every way. I have never been more certain of anything in my life then I am that Sarah is the one that God has for me. He has opened countless doors for us and I couldn’t be happier! Sarah is so incredibly amazing and treats me so well. Asking her to be my girlfriend was one of the best things I ever did. She has shown me what a Christ-centered relationship should be and how we only love each other because Christ loved us first. Asking Sarah to marry me was the easiest decision of my life! I cannot even scratch the surface in telling how much she means to me and how deeply in love I am with her! I know she thinks I spoil her, but truthfully, she deserves so much more. She constantly amazes me with everything that she does. She never stops moving and is always trying to help other people! She is the kindest person that I have ever met and I am so incredibly blessed to have her in my life! I cannot wait to do the rest of my life with her!
