How does the reservations work for Welcome to the Lake?
Answer
Reservations are needed per vehicle in order to park at the beach. If you follow the link below you can secure a reservation for your party. This reservation is for a single vehicle parking site at Sand Harbor State Park. To access your parking spot you must arrive at the park prior to 10:30 AM or you may lose your parking spot. June 14, 2025 happens to be a fee-waived day. Any applicable fees paid for in advance will be refunded after the date has passed! We look forward to celebrating with you!

What time will the ceremony be?

Ceremony will start at 3pm, we suggest arriving early to reserve your seat.

Will there be a reception?
Answer
Yes! Dinner & dancing to follow the ceremony.

When will the reception end?
Answer
The send off will be at 10pm, and we ask that guests exit the venue before midnight.

How Should I Get to the Venue?
Answer
Complementary parking is available on-site for those who choose to drive. If you prefer not to drive, Uber and Lyft are also great options to get to the venue. We want to make your arrival as smooth as possible!

Are there places to stay nearby?

Yes! There are some hotels listed on the 'travel' tab, and there are many house and condo rentals on VRBO and AirBnB.

Can I camp instead?
Answer
Absolutely! There are so many beautiful camp sites and RV hookups in Tahoe.

Are there rental cars available?
Answer
There are many rental car companies operating out of Tahoe. If you fly into Reno International Airport, it may be best to arrange for a rental car there.

Should I come up for the weekend or just the wedding day?
Answer
We love Tahoe and plan to spend the whole weekend there, if you'd like to make the most of your trip, stay a few days and check out our 'things to do' reccomendations!

Do I get a plus one?
Answer
Due to limited space, plus ones are only extended to those listed on the formal invitation. Thank you for understanding!

What is the dress code?
Answer
We’d love for you to join us in black-tie optional attire. For the gentlemen, a suit and tie would be perfect. For the ladies, we suggest a floor-length or midi dress—any color except white or off-white would be wonderful. Please note that the venue is outdoors, and the ground may be uneven, so we recommend considering this in your shoe choice. Additionally, as the temperatures may dip in the evening, you might want to bring a coat, shawl, or wrap.
