The Wedding of Blake Killian & Emily Wygant

Blake and I met in April of 2024 after being lovingly set up by our mutual friends (shoutout Savannah and Stephanie!). Blake texted Emily first, and from the very beginning, there was an instant connection. After a week of nonstop texting and FaceTiming, we went on our first date at Black Rock Coffee. Ironically, neither of us drinks coffee, but we talked for hours anyway. By the time we left, we both knew this was something special. Just a few days later, on April 28, 2024, we officially started dating, and from that day on, we were inseparable. We quickly learned that opposites really do attract. Blake is steady, stubborn, and strong; Emily is empathetic, sensitive, and wears her heart on her sleeve. Somehow, those differences fit together perfectly—balancing, grounding, and strengthening our relationship in ways we never expected. The both of us grew up in Wylie, in the same grade but different schools, and even shared mutual friends. But The Lord waited patiently, in perfect timing, to bring our paths together, and we couldn’t be more grateful for His plan. It became clear that He had brought us together at exactly the right time. We were both in the first year of our careers, finally feeling like life was beginning to settle and make sense. We fit so seamlessly into each other’s lives, and the phrase “Get on a good pace then look around and see who is running around you” had never felt more true. Over the past year and a half, we’ve grown together through busy schedules, big milestones, paramedic school, and the challenges and joys that come with starting our careers and becoming adults. Through it all, we’ve learned how to love selflessly, lean on each other fully, and keep God at the center of everything we do. Now, we’re so excited to begin this next chapter and are ready to commit to choosing each other every day, building a marriage rooted in faith, love, and laughter. We are incredibly grateful to celebrate this moment surrounded by the people who have loved, supported, and prayed for us from the very beginning. We can’t wait to finally say “I do” on June 18th. It truly can’t come soon enough!
