Paige and Wyatt met when they were 17 while Wyatt was working at King Soopers. He worked with Paige's brother which led Paige to send a friend request that would change their lives. In February 2020, Wyatt and Paige began to hang out after she would close her job at Subway. There, they would hang out, listen to music together, slow dance in parking lots, and eventually where Wyatt would ask her to be his girlfriend on April 14, 2020.

After Wyatt asked Paige to be his girlfriend, they hung out every day. They would go to practice fields where they would stargaze, they would have hammock dates, and have water balloon fights. In August of 2020, Paige had to move away for school, creating a distance of 5 hours between them. Wyatt and Paige did this distance for the next 9 months, and then Paige came home for the summer again. They were able to hangout all the time again and were also able to go on vacation with each other to Georgia. In the fall, Paige moved away again, but only 1.5 hours away this time since she decided to transfer schools. Wyatt proposed a few short weeks after Paige moved home for the summer again.

Sunday, May 22, 2022 Wyatt asked Paige to marry him. That morning, everyone went to Church like a normal day. Paige and Wyatt had a graduation party to go to and then they were planning to go out for dinner before they returned home for a bonfire at Wyatt's parents house. While they were at the graduation party, Paige asked Wyatt if he was going to propose later that night. Wyatt said no, which lead to Paige becoming upset. She knew it was going to happen soon but didn't know when. Wyatt took Paige to her favorite restaurant, Olive Garden. On the drive home, Wyatt practiced his little speech that he would recite when he got on his knee while Paige played some games on her phone. When they got home, they went downstairs to where the fire was. They sat around the fire for a few minutes with Wyatt's family when "As Soon As You Can" by Dirks Bentley came on and Wyatt asked Paige to dance. In the middle of dancing, Wyatt got on his knee and asked Paige to marry him.
