It all started in September 2022 when Wyatt and I began talking. From the beginning, there was something so easy and natural about our conversations. By November, we decided to meet in person for our first date—a cozy game night at my place. What started as a fun evening quickly turned into a marathon conversation that lasted nearly 12 hours. We laughed, shared stories, and discovered how much we had in common. I don’t think either of us wanted the night to end. Over the next few weeks, we went on more dates, and it didn’t take long for me to realize I was completely head over heels for Wyatt. He had this way of making me feel seen and appreciated, and I found myself looking forward to every moment we spent together. In January 2023, Wyatt and I took our first trip together to Seattle for my birthday. It was a whirlwind of laughter, adventure, and quality time. Standing by his side, exploring the city, I knew I had found someone truly incredible. Fast forward to April, when Wyatt met my son, Jonah, for the first time. I was a little nervous, but I didn’t need to be. Jonah was five years old at the time, and he took to Wyatt right away. In fact, within minutes, Jonah told him, “You can marry my mom.” From that moment on, everything just clicked. That moment melted my heart, and it’s one I’ll always treasure. From that day forward, Wyatt became more than just the man I was falling for—he became part of our little family. Looking back, it feels like everything fell into place exactly the way it was meant to. Wyatt has brought so much love, laughter, and stability into my life. He’s my partner, my rock, and my biggest supporter. I’m so incredibly lucky to get to be his wife and to start our forever together on September 25, 2026. I can’t wait for this next chapter and all the adventures still to come.
I met Joee following one of the hardest and loneliest times of my life. Though it took us a long time to actually meet in person, our conversations made me sure that this girl was special. My feelings were proven right the first time we met. Even though I am always shy and awkward around new people, Joee and I hit it off immediately and talked through the entire night. When I finally got home and went to sleep at what must have been 8am, all I could think about was when I would be able to see her again. The next time we met up was more of the same, with us spending the whole night talking about anything and everything. It wasn’t long before we were constantly around each other and I would argue that we were best friends before we even technically started dating. Our trip to Seattle together for Joee’s 27th birthday really solidified that what we had was something special. To go on a trip like that one which was so light hearted and easy going and make so many memories in such a short time was something I will never forget. Such trips have become a staple of our relationship whether it be Glacier National park, trips home to see our families (and ignite Joee’s Disneyland obsession for real), or just simple date nights in town to get sushi- we are always spending time being our best selves together. Along with getting to meet a new best friend, I also have been lucky enough to meet and love her son, Jonah. Like his mom, Jonah made me feel welcome at our very first meeting and I am so glad he gave his permission for her to marry me so quickly (I think it was within the first 10 minutes). I have been so fortunate to get to also be a part of his life and to help him learn and grow to be an amazing kid. There is never a dull moment in our little family and I wouldn’t have it any other way, even when we all do get a little crazy or hangry. To go from such a dark and lonely place to a place of peace and belonging was an unexpected blessing and I can only hope to make them as happy as they have made me. This has been the happiest time of my life and I can’t wait to continue to make new memories and grow together! P.S. She told me to shut up after writing this.
