"Love is patient..."

I believe I speak for both Wyatt and I when I say that we want everyone involved in our wedding to leave there that night thinking more about Christ than about us. This is truly a celebration of the family unit 𝘏𝘦's brought together and of everything He's done in us to lead us to this point. Through his grace, patience and guidance, we're finally going to be unified in marriage. Our hope is that we can use our day to allow the truth of the gospel shine and to give the Lord the honor He absolutely deserves, while being reflections of His love for us. We want to make our ceremony a place that speaks truth and life and where people can see how the Lord works in imperfect people who trust in Him. We also want to give a warm "thank you" to our families for all they have done for us to get to this point and for the wonderful friends and support groups God's so richly blessed us with. ~ Emma & Wyatt

Our story started in the junior high Sunday school classroom at New Testament. I (Emma) had gone there all of my life, but Wyatt's family moved there when he was 13. I would only interact with Wyatt in class, and even that was minimal since he was two years older than me. My first impression of him was that his voice was comforting when he was called on to read scripture. I didn't interact with him much more than that until two years later in the Summer of 2017, when we went on a week-long youth group trip. We were in the same van on the way. During the trip, we became friends and then we became even closer a few weeks later when we went on a mission trip to Montana together. We were growing a beautiful friendship that our relationship now is founded upon. It wasn't until a year after that youth trip that we decided to start a relationship. After five and a half years of growing up together and learning more about how to love like Christ, we got engaged! We're so thankful for that friendship we built as kids and what the Lord's done in our lives to bring us to where we are now.
