After contacting a slew of local hotels, we have found that it is cheaper for our guests to book through the hotel website directly OR through a third-party site like: Booking.com, Expedia, etc.
The discounts offered for "blocking" rooms for our guests were no better and some were even more costly for our guests than guests booking directly.
