We met at a charity gala for military families. We both remember the moment we saw each other - and the world around us stood still. All night Jessica was watching where Johnny was in hopes that they might meet. After enough "liquid courage" her dad's co-worker took her business card and walked her over to introduce her to Johnny (a complete stranger). From that moment they talked for the rest of the evening and truly enjoyed each others company.

On Johnny's birthday, a week before Jessica's, Johnny planned to go downtown and take photos for Christmas cards and a birthday dinner. Little did Jessica know that he would pull off the biggest surprise! As they're standing and taking photos in front of the Alamo, Johnny gets down on one knee, and Jessica says, "What are you doing?" What he said next was perfect, straight from his heart. She said, "Yes!" and they proceeded to celebrate their engagement, his birthday and her birthday in the following weeks.
