Montenegro is a European country located along the coast of the Adriatic Sea between Croatia and Albania. It is north of Greece and across the sea from Italy. Once in Montenegro there are cheap flights to most of Europe so if you have time you should take advantage! Ryan Air, Easy Jet, and Aegean Air are all cheap flight options from Dubrovnik.
Although their native language is Montenegrin, English is widely spoken in the main tourist areas of Montenegro. Everyone you encounter will be able to speak English.

Euros, we suggest you exchange money at the airport. Be aware that most areas will only accept cash including the taxis and buses.
There are public buses that cost 5 euros that run between the cities. Taxis from Perast to Old Town Kotor, Tivat, and Herceg Novi cost around 10 euros. You can also travel to the cities in the bay by boat. Make sure you have cash on hand for transport. There are also car rentals available.
We suggest taking the red eye on June 12th from the states, landing in Dubrovnik, Croatia on June 13th and taking the shuttle. Wedding events will happen from June 14th-16th. You can fly back to the states at that time or continue on to explore Europe. We will provide a shuttle back to the airport on the 17th. For those who have extra time we suggest getting an early flight to London then taking RyanAir to Dubrovnik which is the most cost efficient.
Dubrovnik Airport is about an hour from the Bay of Kotor. We will be providing transport from the airport on June 13th and back to the airport on the 17th. Tivat Airport is about a 40 min drive to the hotel locations. If you are arriving outside the times of provided transport Hotel Conte provides transport from the hotel to the airport for 200 euros per 10 passenger van.
In June, the weather ranges between a low of 59 F to a high of 80 F. We suggest bringing some layers as there can be surprise rainstorms.

We will have a soft RSVP date of June 15th 2025 for planning purposes since we know numbers can vary greatly with international weddings. Final RSVPs are due March 15th 2026.
The entire wedding day will be outdoors. If there is rain, then we will have the reception under cover. The welcome party will also be outdoors so we suggest you bring a light jacket as you will be going to a higher elevation which will cause the temperature to drop.
