Our love story goes all the way back to middle school.... well, sort of. When we were both attending Dalton Intermediate School, we dated for a whole two months (a long time, I know lol). Heading into high school we did not speak again until about three years later, when we had a Spanish class together. After about a year, we began dating on December 2, 2013. It feels amazing to say we are high school sweethearts who are getting MARRIED!!

On our four and a half year anniversary we headed to Washington D.C. to do the whole touristy thing, because JT had never toured D.C. Little did I know JT had other reasons for making the trip. After a full day of sightseeing and exploring our nations capital, we headed out for a nice dinner. When we arrived at the restaurant we waited for just the right table. JT had hyped up this view and how we had to sit at this one specific table. I did not think anything of it, because I know how he can be and once he gets his mind set on something, he is determined to get what he wants. After a bit of a wait, we were seated, and there was a wonderful view of the D.C. skyline. Our table was covered in confetti in the shapes of hearts and XOXO's. JT quickly asked me why it was there, and I responded with "Its on other tables, maybe it's for people who made reservations." At this point he began freaking out thinking I knew what was going on, but I was oblivious. Our waiter came over and was being very nice and talking about how it was going to be a great night, how in love we were, and so on. Again JT though I would figure it out, but I just thought our waiter was trying to get a good tip. As the night went on, we had a wonderful dinner and began thinking about desert. JT got up to "use the restroom," and came back, got down on one knee, and proposed (in not so many words). I was speechless and could hardly say yes! It was amazing and such a fun surprise! We are so blessed to have each other and are so excited to be getting MARRIED!
