The Grotto, the National Sanctuary of our Sorrowful Mother, is a Catholic outdoor sanctuary shrine and botanical garden located minutes from downtown Portland. The sanctuary covers 62 acres and includes a large meditation hall whose main chamber is atop 110 foot cliff. In addition to a church, there are several thousand feet of trails, including a trail of the Stations of the Cross, along which visitors may pass in contemplation through botanical gardens. The Grotto offers a sanctuary of peace, prayer and natural beauty for all people.
If you know anything about us, then you know that T-Room is our favorite local bar! Only three blocks from our home and two miles from University of Portland (where Andrew attended college), it's always been a staple in our relationship. From our first kiss in Sept 2015, the night Andrew finally "made a move" (Sorry Stan and Patricia), one-too-many nights of being overserved and singing terrible karaoke, and the best summer hangout for drinks and games with our best friends. We couldn't think of a more fitting and fun place to take our engagement photos! Stop by some time during weekend of the wedding and share the space with some of our history.
