It all began in 2019, thanks to a swipe on Tinder. After a few light-hearted chats, James suggested a romantic dinner for our first date—something classic, thoughtful, and a little fancy. Ever the planner, he booked a lovely restaurant, ready to impress. But, as fate would have it, a last-minute whim changed everything. I suddenly realized the Sharks NRL game was on, and without thinking twice, I asked if we could ditch the dinner and catch the game instead. James, being the easygoing guy he is, didn’t miss a beat.
