Tyler and I met when my college roommates and I went to go look at a rental home for the next school year. He was moving out, and we were moving in, so he gave us a tour around the house. I was instantly impressed and I knew that there was something special about him. After a year of occasionally bumping into each other around town, he finally asked me to hangout. We officially started dating in September 2013, and the rest is history. We'll always be thankful for that little house on Brentwood Place!
Tyler and I went to Thomasville for the weekend to attend Oak Fest, and see his family and our friends. We spent Friday bouncing around downtown Thomasville and stopping in all of our favorites spots, and then went back to his parents house for the night. Oak Fest was cancelled on Saturday, so we didn't really have any plans for the day... so I thought. He asked if I would want to go to South Eden Plantation's Cream of the Crop Wine Bar for brunch, and since it's one of my favorites places, I was all in! When we got to South Eden we started walking towards the wine bar, but it looked like it was still closed. He mentioned that we were a little early and said that we should just walk around the plantation for a bit. He walked me down one of the most beautiful paths passing little cottages, and covered with huge live oaks wrapped in cafe lights. He stopped my under this massive live oak tree that had cafe lights and spanish moss draping from it, and that is where he asked me to marry him. When I turned around, there was a photographer who captured our special moment and all of the surprises that were to come. Both of our families and our dog turned the corner and came to surprise us and celebrate! Tyler had the wine bar set up with all of my favorite foods and champagne for us and our families. We got to take photos around the plantation and then went to downtown Thomasville to celebrate for the day. Tyler even went the extra mile and rented out two AirBNBs for the weekend for my family and then for us. After almost 7 years together, I always joked that he wouldn't be able to surprise me.. but, I was definitely wrong! We're excited about the future, and can't wait to celebrate with you all!
