The Sonoran Desert Museum is one of the most popular attractions in Tucson. Located right next to Saguaro National Park, the museum is a great place to learn about the native plants and animals to the region. We are members here and love it!
Driving up Mt. Lemmon on the Catalina Highway is an amazing experience for outdoor lovers. The ~23 mile drive up starts in the Sonoran desert landscape typical to Tucson and wanders through multiple ecological zones at the different altitudes. The highway ends on top of the “Sky Island” where the Pines and Aspens can make you feel like you’ve traveled many more miles away from Tucson. Don’t forget to stop in the small town of Summer haven at the top for lunch or maybe just a cookie
A great option for people looking for a nice hike close to the wedding venue. Catalina state park has great views of the dramatic cliffs and spires on the west side of the Catalina Mountain Range.
Historic Fourth Avenue is a fun place to get to know the city of Tucson. The street is lined with boutique shops, local restaurants, and bars. Many of the shops support the large local art community.
Another great place for a hike, Sabino Canyon is a popular Tucson recreation area with multiple trails to choose from and even a shuttle that can take you to the top of the canyon.
There are many golf courses to choose from in Tucson but this is the Groom’s pick!
Eegee’s is a Tucson local fast food chain that sells sandwiches and most importantly their signature eegee. An eegee is a flavored frozen treat that is perfect for the hot Tucson summers. The location marked here is the closest to our venue but there are many locations all over the Tucson area. The bride and groom both love to get half strawberry and half lemon! We also recommend always trying the flavor of the month!
