We’re getting married!

Our love story starts like so many other modern day relationships, by liking a photo on a dating app. (Thank you Hinge) From the very first date though, it was clear this was anything but typical.  When it came to dating, I was always quick to come up with excuses and reasons not to go. The day Josh asked me to lunch I had a legitimate reason to say I couldn’t but for the first time, I was actually excited to meet a guy and I didn’t want to say no. You see, earlier that morning I had a dental procedure done and was suppose to stay home icing my face, taking pain medication and avoiding solid food for weeks. So instead of asking to reschedule and miss the opportunity hoping he would ask me out again, I said “ I hope this doesn’t sound weird but I can’t really eat. I can drink though, if you want to grab a beer.” Luckily Josh didn’t think anything of it and we met at a brewery. (And if anyone knows Josh he would later insist on cooking for me, making sure I was fed.) We instantly hit it off, conversation flowing like it would with a close friend, the date continued to be out of the ordinary. Typically on first dates you’re unsure when you’ll hear from or see the other person next. However, we on the other hand, wrote an adventure bucket list on the back of our menu right then and there. We would cross the first thing off a month later when we went to Moab for the first time. A place that would become so special to us and where Josh would propose to me 3 years later.  From that first date on, our relationship propelled in one clear direction. It was clear to us and everyone in our lives that we completed and challenged the other person in a way that made us perfect for each other.
