Shaun and Rachel’s story started at Worcester State, where they both knew of each other from passing by on campus, mutual familiar faces, and, of course, the occasional college "Darty". But like all great modern love stories, it officially began with a Tinder swipe in the summer of 2018. Shaun didn’t just swipe right on Rachel — he, "Super Liked" her. For those folks who may not know what that means, that’s basically Tinder’s way of saying, “I’m not just interested… I’m making a bold statement.” Clearly, Shaun was not playing games. His Tinder bio was short, sweet, and extremely Shaun: “Boston sports fan.” And honestly, anyone who knows Shaun knows that may be the most accurate biography ever written. After the Swipe, Shaun decided to shoot his shot with a message that was both bold and very well-researched: “You’re super pretty, and we’re both huge Disney fans. I follow you on Instagram and saw your post from a while ago.” Casual, right? He then explained that he had been going to Disney every year of his life and that his family had a timeshare there. So naturally, Rachel had to consider whether this was a pickup line… or a potential lifetime FastPass. Since that swipe, Shaun and Rachel quickly fell for each other through their shared humor, love for Boston sports, constant laughter, and ability to make even the most chaotic moments fun. Together, they survived the crazy life of college, made it through the pandemic, and now own a home together — which is basically the adult version of a group project, but with more paint samples, Home Depot trips, and “How the hell are we going to fix that” moments. From campus pass-bys to Tinder messages to forever, you could say Shaun’s Swipe really did have a little magic in it.
