Do you have a recommended hotel?

Answer

Yes! We highly recommend Lakeside Inn in downtown Mount Dora — the oldest continuously operating hotel in Florida. It’s a historic lakefront inn within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and all the weekend fun. We also have a room block available here under the code CRANGLE25. Lakeside Inn is approximately 6.2 miles (15 minutes) from Sydonie Mansion.

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Sydonie Mansion in Mount Dora, Florida. The ceremony will take place outdoors, followed by cocktails and dinner.

Are children invited?

Answer

Yes! We love your little ones and can’t wait to celebrate with the whole family. For new mamas, there will be a private indoor room available at Sydonie Mansion if you need a quiet space during the evening.

We’ve listed several nearby options on our travel page, including the historic Lakeside Inn downtown, where you can walk to shops and cafés, as well as Mission Resort + Club and the Hilton Garden Inn Apopka City Center.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Late April in Mount Dora is warm and pleasant, with daytime temperatures in the high 70s to low 80s and comfortable evenings. We recommend light fabrics and layers in case the temperature cools after sunset.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Garden Attire Dressy but comfortable for an outdoor celebration. Women may wear midi or tea-length dresses with block heels, wedges, or flats. Men may wear light suits or dress pants with a button-down shirt. Heel caps will be provided at the venue for guests wearing stiletto heels to protect the historic floors.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony begins at 4:30 p.m. Please plan to arrive by 4:00 p.m. to allow time for parking and seating before the celebration begins.

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided, but all recommended hotels are within a 15–25 minute drive of Sydonie Mansion. We suggest coordinating with family or friends for carpooling, or using Uber or Lyft for easy access to and from the venue.
