We met at a bar called Salvation Taco in NYC all thanks to Bumble! A modern day love story: Jena was giving the app 'one more shot' and Jared just got incredibly lucky on his first Bumble date.

We fell in love with each other during the summer of 2017. We moved in together in Astoria in February of 2018. We then moved across the country in October of 2018 and fell in love with Texas together. We are so excited to have our family and friends in the great state of Texas to celebrate our marriage with us. It will be tons of fun and we we hope y'all can make it!

Jena thought she was going to spend a weekend alone in Newport with her family. Friday morning, Jared took her to the airport to board her 6 am flight and then raced home (stopped to get Donald cat food since we were out), packed and drove back to the airport to board his 9 am flight. Craig and Meredith (Jena's brother and sister-in-law), picked Jena up in Boston and headed down to Newport. With the quickly approaching proposal only hours away, Meredith insisted on the girls getting their nails done - looking back that should have been obvious. Unknown to Jena, at the very same time Corinne and Pat (Meredith's parents) were picking up Jared at the airport to bring him to Newport. Before dinner, Craig claimed he needed Liam (Meredith's brother) to take updated photos of him for his music site. Jena went along for the ride, and being her gullible self, took directions from Liam to duck down behind Craig holding up an 'L' and 'I' with her hands for the 'needed' photo. Jared was hiding behind a nearby stone wall on the coast of the Newport harbor. The very next second, Craig moved off the gazebo and Jared appeared under it, spinning Jena around all dressed up in business attire while Jena's mom's favorite song, 'Yellow' by Coldplay was being played live by Jena's brother on the guitar. The look in Jena's eyes was a never before seen combination of confusion, concern, and excitement. Jared planned the most perfect proposal. It was a complete surprise. He also planned a surprise trip to Cabo to celebrate and if that wasn't enough, our friends and family made the trip up to Newport for an engagement brunch the next day.
