~His~ "Who are kept by the power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been [c]grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ." 1 Peter 1:5-7 ~Hers~ "And again it says, 'Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people.' And again, 'Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and let all the peoples extol him.' And again Isaiah says, 'The root of Jesse will come, even he who arises to rule the Gentiles; in him will the Gentiles hope.' May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." Romans 15:10-13
Our story really starts at the El Dorado feed store. Morgan was there with her mom and grandparents, running errands, when her family casually asked the woman working if she knew any single Christian men. She mentioned Chris, and that he didn’t have social media. Somehow, that small detail was enough for the right people to start connecting the dots. Word got around, a few mutual friends stepped in, and before long, Chris had Morgan’s number and sent the first text. A few weeks later, we met at The Black Cat in El Dorado for our first date. Nothing fancy, just two people showing up with open hearts to see what might happen. It didn't take long to see that the Lord was writing something better than we ever prayer for.
Please RSVP before July 23rd so we can get final numbers to our vendors. Thank you! Click the RSVP tab on the website or on the link sent through text.
